In our younger preschool room (2 ½  to 3 ½ ) we focus on individual independence emphasizing

• Personal hygiene with teacher assistance
• Being able to make good behavior choices for themselves
• Learning how to choose their own activities from the daily curriculum plan presented
• Continuing to develop gross motor skills such as outdoor play, ball pit fun and cooperative games

 The preschool time each day consists of basic learning elements

• Colors
• Letters
• Shapes

The preschool program offered to the 3 ½ to 5 ½ year olds emphasizes

• Recognizing letters and numbers
• Identifying their name
• Expanding attention span through stories and directions for upcoming activities
• Socialization skills
• Problem solving with verbal skills
• Small motor skills such as using scissors and learning to write their name

Our goal is for all the children to be confident when they go off to kindergarten
